According to leaked information, the upcoming vivo S20 series is quite promising with significant upgrades. The lineup includes two models: the standard version and the Pro version. The starting price remains 2499 yuan, while the Pro version is expected to cost 700–800 yuan more. Both models have seen considerable improvements.

The standard version now boasts a 6500mAh battery, yet the body thickness is still controlled at just 7.19mm, packing immense power into a compact design.

Major Upgrades in the Pro Version

The Pro version brings even greater advancements. Official images reveal a rear triple-camera setup with a “100x” marking, signifying the inclusion of a periscope telephoto lens. This allows 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, enhancing the photography experience. The main camera and ultra-wide-angle lens each feature a 50MP sensor. A new feature called Dopamine Live Dynamic Photos has also been introduced.

In terms of performance, the Pro version is equipped with the Dimensity 9300+ processor, a top-tier chip offering excellent performance. It can deliver an average frame rate close to 59 FPS while playing Genshin Impact for 30 minutes, ensuring smooth high-frame-rate gaming.

The screen uses BOE’s Q10 OLED material, the same as in the iQOO 13, though the resolution is expected to be 1.5K rather than 2K. The standard version also features the same screen material but runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.

Battery and Charging

The Pro version comes with a 5500mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging. Meanwhile, the standard version sees a significant boost with 90W fast charging, but its imaging capabilities remain modest, featuring a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens – sufficient for everyday photography.

Design and Price Expectations

The design has been refined, with one version featuring a unique “Phoenix Feather” texture, created using micron-level etching on the back panel for a more premium feel.

Based on the leaks, the Pro version closely rivals the vivo X200 in terms of overall specs. Pricing details remain unclear until the official release, but even with potential price increases, it is unlikely to exceed 4000 yuan. If you’re interested in photography and want a smartphone with a large battery, this series might be worth the wait.
